We zijn woedend!
De motie van Partij voor de Dieren Limburg voor het opschorten van de kap van het Sterrebos is afgewezen.
Klaarblijkelijk heeft de Provincie Limburg zoveel haast met de geplande kap, dat men niet eens de moeite wil nemen om de uitspraak van de Raad van State af te wachten in de beroepsprocedure die door Stichting de Groene Sporenwolf is ingediend. Laat staan dat men wil wachten tot VDL Nedcar een nieuwe grote opdrachtgever heeft gevonden.
De eerste regel van het Limburgs volkslied luidt:
‘Waar in het bronsgroen eikenhout, ’t nachtegaaltje ’t nachtegaaltje zingt …’
Dit bronsgroen eikenhout met al haar bewoners wordt bedreigd. Het Sterrebos staat symbool voor het Limburgs landschap dat beetje bij beetje moet wijken voor industrie, asfalt en beton.
Wij laten dit echter niet zonder slag of stoot gebeuren!
De strijd gaat door!
Het Sterrebos moet blijven!

We are furious!
The motion by the Party for the Animals of Limburg to suspend the felling of the Sterrebos was rejected last Friday.
Apparently, the Province of Limburg is in such a hurry with the planned felling that they don’t even want to take the trouble to wait for the verdict of the Council of State in the appeal procedure that has been filed by the Green Ghost Wolf Foundation. Let alone that they want to wait until VDL Nedcar has found a new major client.
The first line of the Limburg national anthem reads:
‘Where in the bronze-green oak wood, the nightingale sings…’.
This bronze-green oak wood with all its inhabitants is threatened. The Sterrebos is a symbol for the Limburg landscape, which little by little has to make way for industry, asphalt and concrete.
However, we will not let this happen without a fight!
The resistance continues!
The Sterrebos must stay!
